Lighthouse Christian School was founded on the 15th January 2014 by Rev Wisdom Tsyi and his wife, Lady Pastor Naana Tsyi, missionaries of the Lighthouse Chapel International, together with a group of parents from East London. The school opened its doors to the first set of 5 learners on 15th January 2014.

The baton was passed on to a new management team led by Dr Charles Cobbinah and Mr Ebenezer Nyarko, on the 1st of April 2015, with enrolment of 17 learners. We welcomed our first principal, Mrs Stephanie Van Zyl in April 2015.

The school relocated to our current premises on the 16th of October 2017. Our grade one class commenced on the 16th of January 2018. The primary school section of the school was moved to 35 St Mark’s Road, Southernwood in March 2018.

Currently

Lighthouse Christian School currently comprises of educare, preparatory school, primary school and high school. Majority of our learners come from the diverse and metropolitan community of East London.
